The Avon 14&U County Cup Girls Team make it through to the National Finals in Nottingham!
On day one Avon had a great opening win against Devon who we beat 4-2, the girls did a great job against strong opposition and won 2 excellent doubles matches to seal the victory.
Day 2 saw Avon seal another good win against Gloucestershire, the matches were tied at 2-2 after singles and once again our doubles teams both came out on top to seal a 4-2 victory.
On the final day Avon knew a win against Wiltshire would guarantee a place in the main draw in Nottingham. All 4 singles players played excellent matches, Maria and Claudia won to put Avon 2-0 up but Gloucestershire fought back to take closely contested victories against Brodie and Lizzie. Both doubles teams proved why they had been undefeated all weekend and claimed another 2 fantastic victories to take Avon through to Nottingham!
