Day 1 v Oxfordshire
Tough start for our 3 & 4 singles players losing their opening matches and leaving Avon 2-0 down, Joe Leather then comes from a set down to win and Declan Moran eases to victory at no1 taking the tie to 2 all, Declan and Joe L win at no1 doubles pair in straight sets, the Tom Batcelor and Joe Partridge win a 3rd set tie break to win the match 4-2.
Day 2 v Gloucestershire
Great effort from all singles players winning at 4,3,2 and 1 whilst not dropping a set, meaning Avon have an unassailable lead of 4-0.
Day 3 v Kent
The winner of this match would progress to the National Finals as Kent had also won all their matches.
Joe P playing at no.3 singles came up against a tough opponent losing in 2 sets, Tom at no.4 singles lost in a marathon 3 set match saving 2 match points in 2nd set leaving Avon all to do as 2-0 to Kent. Joe L had a difficult match up at no2 singles losing in 2 sets, then Decs played a positive match against a good opponent losing a tight first set and then going down in 2 sets and leaving the tie out of reach.
Kent win the group with Avon in 2nd place.
