The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) is being supported by Highland Spring to get new school children trying tennis for the first time in Bath.
National Mini Tennis Month runs through April & May and sees clubs, parks and schools inviting hundreds of local school children for a free introduction to tennis.
LTA Development Manager, Julie Jones said “This campaign is all about introducing new school children to tennis. There are lots of great places to play tennis in Bath and the parks and clubs are working collaboratively to show that tennis is fun, exciting and a great sport for life”.
With the season just starting parks, clubs and schools in Bath will be taking part in the Great British Tennis Weekend to get even more people playing tennis this summer. The national event sees up to 1000 places to play opening their doors for free tennis across the Country. Anyone looking to get back into tennis, or play for the first time can visit www.greatbritishtennisweekend.com to book onto a free session at a park, club or school near them.
