Cambridgeshire 12 and under girls team won through their Group at Aegon 12 and under County Cup at Corby over the weekend on 30th June and 1st July to qualify for the Aegon County Cup Finals at Bolton Arena on 14 and 15 July.

Cambridgeshire’s U12 Boys finished runners up to Essex in the regional play offs that was played in Hertfordshire. Jan Ortonowski, Alex Wardley, Charlie James and Sam Clark couldn’t stop Essex qualifying for the National Finals in Bolton.

Kira Reuter, from Hemingford Grey produced a superb performance to pick up the Silver Medal as runner up in the Scottish Junior Open Tennis Championships held at Craiglockhart Tennis Centre in Edinburgh last week.

Hundreds of young athletes from across the county have picked up a racket and played competitive tennis as part of School Games Festivals over the last six weeks.

The LIVING SPORT Community Sport Fund is designed to help clubs , organisations, groups and other partners increase the number of skilled and enthusiastic people delivering sport and physical activity who are managed in line with best practice and/or grow participation in sport and physical activity in areas where there is an identified need.

Cambridgeshire’s girls 12 and under team played extremely well to finish third in the AEGON County Cup finals in Bolton on 14/15 July.
