Entries for Britain’s largest Tennis Tournament, the Powder Byrne Junior and Open Tennis Trophy are now being accepted.

The U12 County Cup team finish strongly on the second day to narrowly miss out on 2nd place at Ipswich Sports Club.

Cambridge women’s team had a resounding victory over Oxford in the Varsity Match winning 14 matches to 5 while the men’s match was a much closer affair with Cambridge only getting to the magical number of 10 rubbers in the final round of the doubles and eventually winning 12 -9.

Please find the new county Regularly Competing Junior league table. This county league table shows the number of regularly competing junior players (RCJ) at each place to play within Cambridgeshire. An RCJ is someone who has played 6 or more competitive matches in a 12 month period. This table will be updated monthly.

The Cambridgeshire girls 12 and under team finished fourth in the National Aegon 12 and under County Cup Finals on 9/10 July at Bolton Arena,

Papworth teenager Zoe Douglas has won her chance to play at The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (Wimbledon) after winning the County “Road to Wimbledon” play off finals on Sunday 10th July 2011 at the Esporta centre in Peterborough.

Cambridgeshire’s girls and boys 9 and under team finished third in the Aegon County Cup at Culford School on Saturday 16th July.

 

 

Seven year old Alexander Boyd-Bench from Cambridge has been touring the Counties and having great success at Mini Red.

Applications for the second round of Sportivate funding are now being received until 22 August for approval by Sport England.
