Nominate your local sporting heroes for the 2013 LIVING SPORT Sports Awards
LIVING SPORT is now seeking nominations for its prestigious annual Sports Awards to recognise and celebrate the achievements of talented sportsmen & women, coaches, volunteers, organisations and clubs from all across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Individuals, organisations or clubs can now be nominated by the general public for 11 categories including Sports Performer of the Year, Team of the Year and Services to Sport to be awarded at the annual Sports Awards Celebration on 14th November 2013. Nominations can be made by completing an online form at www.livingsport.co.uk/player/sports-awards. The nomination process closes at 5pm on 4th October.
Simon Fairhall, Chief Executive of LIVING SPORT said, ‘Our annual LIVING SPORT Sports Awards ceremony provides an excellent opportunity to honour the significant contributions to sport development made by so many people across the county on a voluntary basis, without whom community sport would not happen, as well as of course recognising and celebrating the success and achievements of our talented sportsmen and women and teams. We are urging everyone to nominate their local sporting heroes to receive an award at this year’s ceremony’.
The 8th LIVING SPORT Awards Ceremony will take place at Burgess Hall, St Ives on the evening of 14th November 2013. Previous awards have been made to local Olympian Robbie Grabarz in the Sports Performer of Year category and Louis Smith’s Coach Paul Hall as Coach of the Year, whilst Hampton Football Club netted the award for Community Club of the Year in 2012 and like Jonnie Peacock in the Paralympic Sports Performer and Courtney Pettifor our Young Community Volunteer categories went on to win at the BBC East Regional Awards.
