Andrew McBride qualified through his club and county Road to Wimbledon events and played in the National finals at SW19. Here is his story.

The Aegon GB Pro-Series, which is a men’s international tennis event attracting a total prize money purse of $10,000, kicks off at the Sunderland Tennis Centre on Sunday 6 October.

The 4th annual Durham & Cleveland LTA awards took place on Friday 4th October at a new venue, The Stadium of Light, Sunderland FC’s football ground.

Sunderland Tennis Centre will play host to a new ITF Futures Wheelchair tennis event in 2014.

Inspired by the Murray win at Wimbledon, Blaydon Tennis Club Men’s Vets 1sts have taken the Durham and Cleveland LTA Awards by storm with an outstanding win in the ‘Team of the Year’ category.

Josh Goodall won Aegon GB Pro-Series Singles title at Sunderland Tennis Centre to add to the doubles title which he won with partner Harry Meehan.  

The METRO National Visually Impaired Tennis Tournament brought 40+ blind and visually impaired people from all over the United Kingdom to the National Tennis Centre from the 4th-6th October.

The Durham and Cleveland Mini Red Winter Leader Board Series got off to a good start on Saturday at Durham University Queens Campus Sports Centre in Thornaby.
