On Sunday the 12th April, Weston Tennis Club held the first of their annual open days. Although the clouds threatened play, club members turned out in bulk to support the club and welcomed new players. Members put on a generous spread of sandwiches, cakes and drinks, and joined in with on court games, matches, and even measured their serve with our speed machine.
The Open day was well attended with many new juniors and adults getting the chance to have free coaching with our experienced head coach, Jamie Allen. He stated that “it was a pleasure to see so many new faces enjoying the game” and “it proves that at any age and regardless of ability, it is never too late to begin playing tennis”.
