Day 1 v Herefordshire & Worcestershire
Great singles wins from James, Aydin and Kristian. 3 rubbers each going into doubles - strong no2 pair of James and Kristian win but unfortunately first pair Noah & Alex lose a tight match and Aydin & Rob lose, so a close 5/4 loss on the first day.
Day 2 v Bedfordshire
Not such a good day in the singles round losing singles rubbers 6,4,3 & 2, Kristian winning again at no5 and a very creditable and excellent win from Jimmy Hardiman coming from a set and 4-1 down to win and keep the tie alive - Bedfordshire then proved too strong in all 3 doubles, therefor Avon losing 7-2.
Day 3 v Wiltshire
This relegation battle began strongly with singles wins at 6 for Kristian and Gregor at 5, Avon suffered a very long tough loss at no.4 singles with Aydin losing in over 3 hours, this followed by very comfortable wins for Wiltshire at 3 & 2, Jimmy then fought exceptional hard again but lost a close match - 4-2 down. Great win for Decs and Rob at doubles 3, but unfortunately Noah and Alex outclassed in the first pair doubles relegating the boys down a division.
All team members were a pleasure to take away for the weekend and fought hard and supported each other, special note to Kristian Newman for winning all singles matches and also to Jimmy Hardiman for fighting very hard in all matches and leading from the front.
