Tuesday, April 30, 2013

During the course of the winter players in the 10/12/14/16 and 18 and under age groups play on a weekend day against the Counties of Suffolk, Nottinghamshire and Herefordshire and Worcester.

Each age group has a team of 4 girls and 4 boys and they played against each of these Counties in the best of three short sets.

The winning team is awarded 4 points, second 3 points, third 2 points and fourth 1 point. The girls’ results and boys’ results are added up individually so on each match day the winning County can score a maximum of 8 points. The matches are played during the period November through to March.

Cambridgeshire finished top with 32 points which was 8 points ahead of second placed Nottinghamshire on 24 points, third Suffolk on 21points and fourth Hereford and Worcester on 20 points.
