Kent Leaderboard Finals

On Sunday 24^th March. 32 of our best 9 & Under and 10 & Under players in Kent all competed for the honour of being the County Leaderboard Champion in their age group.

The Aegon Clay Court Championships is dubbed the ‘Spring Nationals’ as it is the only other junior Grade 1 competition in the summer season for the 14&U and 12&U age groups. Find out more details on the Clay Court Championships, including the Regulations, prizes and much more.

The Kent LTA Annual Awards Dinner 2013 was attended by over 100 guests at the Wilderness Golf Club, Seal, Sevenoaks on Thursday 28^th March.  The trophies were presented by Austin Smith, President of Kent LTA.

Record number of teams prepare for Aegon Team Tennis 2013

The Aegon Team Tennis 2013 season kick starts this weekend with opening matches taking place in the National/Regional Open tier.

Aegon Team Tennis 2013 features a record of 5,625 teams with events ranging from 8&U to Open (adult) age groups. Over 5,000 of these teams will be competing in the County tier of the competition with matches played against local rivals in a competitive league. Each team will be aiming to win their league and get their hands on the division winning pennant at the end of season.

Play tennis, have fun, save lives! The Save the Children Tennis Tournament

Save the Children is calling on tennis clubs, schools and individuals all over the UK to run their own tennis tournament and raise money to help the world’s most vulnerable children. Since 1985, the Save the Children Tennis Tournament has seen 50,000 players taking part and has raised over £2.5 million.

Kent Winter Secondary Schools Doubles Competition

On March 15^th the annual winter schools doubles competition was held at Bromley Tennis Centre. 160 secondary school pupils from 22 schools across Kent competed on the indoor and outdoor courts.

Drawforall

Drawforall, a new competition format designed to provide opportunities for adult players to compete against others of a similar standard, is being launched today at a press conference in London.

8 & Under Aegon Team Tennis gets underway this weekend!

Divisions 1A, 1B, 2A & 2B will play their first two matches in the 8 & Under Aegon Team Tennis league on Sunday 21^st April.

After a winter of discontent, with the men’s team being relegated in the winter competition, followed months of terrible weather, the Kent team were hoping for a bright start to 2013 with a match against the almighty Wimbledon on the clay courts of the greatest tennis club in the world. But on the day of the match the sun shone and the temperature went above 10 degrees for the first time in a while, was this an omen for the men from the garden of England?
