On March 15th the annual winter schools doubles competition was held at Bromley Tennis Centre. 160 secondary school pupils from 22 schools across Kent competed on the indoor and outdoor courts. In the morning session the Year 7-9 boys section was won by Sevenoaks and runners up were Judd. The Year 10-13 section was won by Ravensbourne with Judd again runners up.
The afternoon session was reserved for the girl’s competition. The Year 7-9 section was won by Bullers Wood school with Sevenoaks runners up and the Year 10-13 section was won by Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School with Sevenoaks again runners up.
As ever the Kent Schools are very grateful to the support we receive from Kent LTA, and Bromley Tennis Centre in allowing us to use their courts for this competition, especially with the weather we have all had to put up with this winter. All of the pupils were a credit to their schools and made the day a very enjoyable one for all concerned
