Day 1 vs Cornwall
The girls put on a fantastic performance on the first day after play was delayed due to rain, and Hannah forgot to bring more than 1 racket with her! India and Lizzie kicked things with wins at 3 and 4 and Hannah and Claudia produced 2 solid wins at 1 and 2 singles to allow the girls to go into doubles play with the win already in the bag. They finished the day with 2 strong wins in doubles demonstrating some fantastic volleying skills.
Day 2 vs South Wales
The weather looked a lot more promising on day 2. We had a tough match against South Wales but the girls closed it out fantastically with a 5-1 victory. To celebrate we went bowling and to TGIs which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
Day 3 vs Devon
The girls produced another very strong performance to defeat Devon 5-1 and qualify for Nottingham as winners of the south west division. Everyone was very happy to come away with a victory and a tan :) A big thank you to the Avon parents who put on a fantastic celebratory BBQ for the Avon team to close out the bank holiday weekend :)
