We are pleased to announce that one of Cambs Senior lady players', Alison Cooke, has been selected to play for England in the 50s Ladies Four Nations Championships, 2-4th May 2015 at the Bolton Arena.
When asked if we could boast about her achievements she said she was just back from a tennis holiday in Portugal and is now in training for the Four Nations 2015 in 2-4 May 2015. She was thrilled to be selected as she has had to work very hard to get fit again after a road accident in 2011.
Feeling at times that she wouldn't manage the training, this team selection is particularly sweet as not only has she managed to come back from injury, but so has her son, Tom Hands, who also had an accident and has worked hard to get back to fitness and is currently playing nationally U18. Alison was quoted "like mother, like son!"
Alsion also won the Framlingham Grade 3 Event last year where she said "My prize to myself was a new puppy who we picked up on the way home! Tom and I also made Semis of the Mixed Open!"
