PAYE and Employment Status seminar: 24th Sept

Friday, July 26, 2013

Is your coach an employee of your club?

There is no dispensation, special rules or other exclusions for sports club when it comes to the employment status of coaches or other workers.

Whether your club uses volunteers, or if you pay people for the work they do at your club, it is important that club committee members understand key employment tax issues involved. Failure to do so risks significant additional costs for the club or individual and there could be legal consequences.

You can check and confirm the employment status of a club worker anonymously using the Employment Status Indicator (ESI) tool on the HMRC’s website.

To aid your clubs understanding of the subject LIVING SPORT, in association with PwC and Club Leaders are delivery a PAYE and Employment Status seminar on Tuesday 24th September in Peterborough (Stanground Sports Centre, Stanground Academy, Peterborough Road, Peterborough PE7 3BY) from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
