Seniors' 2014 County Successes

In the Winter Midlands Seniors Tennis Counties League, at Corby, congratulations to the Ladies 50s, who were runners up.   

In the summer Inter-County leagues, congratulations to our 35s Men who won Division 2B and are in the 1st Division again and the 35s Ladies who were 2nd in 3B.   The Ladies 40s stayed in Division 1A which is a brilliant achievement to all teams. Image shows 35s mens team, left to right Adrian Blackman, David Mills (Captain), Chris Johnson, Pieter van Houten, and Scott Martin.

Special mentions to PieterVan Houton for getting to the semis of 45s Men’s singles, David Mills to the semis of 45s Men’s doubles and  J Chin & Alison Cooke to the semis of 50s Ladies doubles at The British Open Seniors Indoor Championships. 

David won the 45s Men’s doubles, while Scott Martin & Alan Leeder got to the doubles 45s semis at The British Grass Championships held at the All England Club, Wimbledon. 

At the Frinton International Seniors, David won the 45s Men’s singles and Alison McNaught was RU in the 65s singles & the doubles with Clare Varley and won the 65s mixed with Bob Harrower

Well done to all other players that won other tournaments around GB.
