Well done to the 10U Boys at the National Finals

Wednesday, June 26, 2013

Wow what a weekend we loved it. Everything went well except the sudden death tie breaks! We were in a box with Hertfordshire and Essex and drew 2-2 against both. We had several match points in the sudden death ties breaks but we couldn't convert them. From so nearly winning the box we lost. Ollie stayed calm through the tense moments and boy were there many, too many!

The weekend taught us there are really big points in tennis matches and we have to stay calm and focused during those moments. We were at the arena for 11 hours on Saturday and 8 hours on Sunday. We narrowly lost to Warwickshire and would you believe it lost after drawing 2-2 with the West of Scotland. Another sudden death tie break went against us.

We worked as a team, loved the experience and thanks so much to Ollie for keeping us organised and in the zone. On the whole we played some really good tennis and were a match for all the counties we played without any doubt. The team will split up now as James will stay with the U10s. The rest we will work hard to make the U12 team because many of the players from Bolton will be there and we want our revenge!
