The Finals of the 2018-19 Notts Mini Tennis Leagues took place on Saturday 6th April following a postponement three weeks previously due to the arrival of storm Gareth.
The weather was kinder this time and enabled all matches to be played without interference from any inclement weather, though the parent did find it a bit chilly on the outside courts!
The winners and runners up from the North and South leagues met up at the Nottingham Tennis Centre to play matches in Red, Orange and Green ball.
12 teams, involving 40 players, took part in two rounds of matches on the day.
Overall, Grantham came top in Red after a close fought match v Lady Bay. Third place went to David Lloyd West Bridgford with Caunton in fourth position.
Both Green and Orange matches had exactly the same results with West Bridgford claiming first position in both by beating Grantham 5-4 in both Green and Orange and likewise Caunton got their revenge on David Lloyd West Bridgford by beating them 6-3 to get third place in both Green and Orange.
All players were winners to reached these Finals, so all received medals, and the winners of each event received glass trophies and balls, which were presented by Nick and Richard Bonnello of RWB Accountants who kindly sponsor this event.
