*  Germany's Benjamin Becker held his nerve to claim the AEGON Trophy crown in Nottingham, beating Russia’s Dmitry Tursunov 4-6, 6-1, 6-4.

*  Number seven seed Urszula Radwanska has won the AEGON Trophy defeating American qualifier Coco Vandeweghe in a topsy-turvy final, 6-1, 4-6, 6-1

Slovenian Grega Zemlja was crown AEGON Challenge champion after a battling three-set victory over Karol Beck at the Nottingham Tennis Centre

Barty, who won the girls singles title at junior Wimbledon last year, has made no secret of her love for the grass courts this week and, less than 24 hours after her doubles victory with fellow Australian Sally Peers, she collected the singles AEGON Challenge crown.

Over 40 children and parents attended the launch of West Bridgord Tennis Club's new Academy which will be managed by John Black.

Mini Tennis festival in Nottingham

School children from across the city will be picking up a tennis racket and playing the sport this week as Nottingham hosts the National Mini Tennis Week.

The O40 Ladies team won their first match of the season against Northumberland.

Enter the Broxtowe Racketlon to be held on Sunday 5th August (Adults) and Saturday 4th August (Juniors) at Chilwell Olympia Sports Centre. 

Entries for Britain’s largest Tennis Tournament, the Powder Byrne Junior and Open Tennis Trophy are now being accepted.

Running from 21st July to 9th  December 2012, the Powder Byrne Tennis Trophy is a Grade 3 LTA approved tournament and will feature Junior Boys and Girls Singles events for: 8 & Under (Red Ball), 9 & Under (Orange Ball), 12 & Under, 14 & Under, 16 & Under and 18 & Under, Men’s and Women’s singles, as well as the opportunity to play as a Father and Son, Father and Daughter, Mother and Son or Mother and Daughter combination, in one of the Family Doubles events, and new in 2012, a Men’s over 45’s veterans singles.

Ten of Britain’s top Wheelchair Tennis players are celebrating their selection to ParalympicsGB, as the British Paralympic Association (BPA) confirmed the ten athletes who will compete at Eton Manor at the Olympic Park in just over 70 days time.
