16 year old Freya Christie won the Aegon British Masters women’s singles on Sunday at Nottingham Tennis Centre, with a 61 36 61 defeat of top seed Lucy Brown.

Double Paralympic champion Peter Norfolk MBE and Nottingamshire's two-time Paralympian David Phillipson were on hand inspire the next generation of players at a Disability Tennis Festival in Nottingham today.


The AGM of Notts LTA took place on Tuesday 3rd Decemeber at the Coutny Ground.

Do you want to be part of an exciting programme working in tennis?  Are you interested in supporting tennis activity at your club and possibly working at county tennis events?  We’re looking for 20 of the best young Notts and Lincs volunteers aged 15 – 19 (10 from each county) and will offer a great programme of training opportunities. 

Please note that there is a deadline of Monday 13th January 2014 for applications. 

The Lawn Tennis Association is to host a new WTA event in June 2015 at the Nottingham Tennis Centre, it can be announced.


Bingham’s David Phillipson is looking forward to starting his 2014 season on home soil after finishing runner-up in both the men’s singles and men’s doubles at the British Wheelchair Tennis Championships to bring his 2013 campaign to a close.
