A prize will be awarded to the club who submits the most newsworthy reports .  This was won last year by Magdala Tennis Club.

  

Freya Christe

Our very own Freya Christie has won the AEGON Junior Player of the Month award for July. Freya is only 13 years old, but competed in an 18U ITF event and won five matches to take her first singles title as she won the Corfu Cup in Greece. See full report

The 37th Annual Jack Britton Singles Trophy was won by Sam Ashcroft from Nottingham Castle Tennis Club last weekend.

Sam is pictured here with the runner up Vasya Kusmartsev.

The Men's County team were at Cambridge for their Division 4 matches against West of Sotland, Hereford & Worcester, Berkshire, North Wales and Leicestershire.

The team were:
 Dan MacShane, Scott Whitbread, Josh Poullet, Callum Chivers
 Dave Barton, Mike Wisner (Captain), James Middleton

In their final match of the season, the Men’s Over 60 County team narrowly lost a tight match against Warwickshire on Sunday 31st July, to concede their title.

Ladies O60s team

Latest news:-  Ladies O60's are champions of top Divsion 2A and play in Division 1 next year.  Many congratulations to the team pictured left to right: Beryl Jones, Sue Reesby, Jill Shelvey, Jill Beardsell (capt)

Great Britain's 16U boys' team have won the European Summer Cup after claiming a 2-1 victory over Italy in the final in Le Touquet, France.

The team of Evan Hoyt, Kyle Edmund, Nottinghamshire's Luke Bambridge and Captain Greg Rusedski won three matches in three days, beating Ukraine, Israel and Italy on the clay courts of Northern France as they claimed the Borotra Cup for the first ever time for Great Britain in the 40 years of the event.

This year the Ladies County Team travelled to Cheltenham for Summer County Week.
