The Annual General Meeting took place at the County Ground on Tuesday 2nd December.
The Management Committee had to say farewell to three long-standing member of the committee, and thank them for all their dedicated work over so many years,.
The following is extracted from the Chairman’s report:
"Chris Cobb has been looking after our accounts and ensuring the financial stability of the Association for 26 years.
Peter Dion, who remains one of our trustees, has been responsible for the County Ground for over 25 years and has been on the committee for over 50 years.
John Ellis was the Men’s League Secretary 30 years ago and has been on the committee for 27 years.
Nobody can remember when Ann Spalding became our ‘Minutes Secretary’, but she has been County Secretary for 20 years and before that was an active member of the Senior and Junior County Closed Committees."
Photos show Chris & Ann, and Peter presented with silver wine bottle stands at the previous management meeting. John’s to be presented at a later date.
It will be a hard act to follow these hard-working committee members, but Rosie Watkins was confirmed as the new County Secretary; David Tanner will take over the Grounds responsibilities; and Nick Bonnello is now our Treasurer. We also have two new Club Representatives in Stephanie Barling and Edward Benson, and Sue Clague will be joining to add her expertise in marketing.
Christopher also paid tribute to Andy McFeeters, who recently left his LTA post of Regional Participation Manager and has done so much to promote tennis is Nottinghamshire since he joined us in 2008.
