Nottingham receives accolade for its disability tennis coaching
Nottingham has been selected by the Tennis Foundation as one of the major Disability Network Venues in the UK.
Nottingham Disability Tennis organises weekly indoor learning disability and wheelchair tennis coaching sessions at West Bridgford Tennis Club and Nottingham Tennis Centre.
The coaching is subsidised through grants from Special Olympics GB and the Tennis Foundation and is run by LTA qualified coaches, who have experience working with people with a disability.
The coaching sessions offered have been running for many years, but from Saturday there will be a new learning disability session on offer at West Bridgford Tennis Club from 6.30pm to 7.30pm that will focus on children aged eight to 12 years.
The first week is free, for further information, dates and to book your place on the learning disability sessions email mattsaretta@gmail.com or melwhitehead6@gmail.com or call 07545 878019 or for the wheelchair tennis events at Nottingham Tennis Centre send an email across to martyn@activeace.co.uk or peter.whitehead@ nottinghamcity.gov.uk or call 0115 8751664.
