A great event in the domes of Corby saw Nottinghamshire up against Northamptonshire in the first round of matches. Great performances all round in a very tight match that could have gone either way eventually saw Northamptonshire win the match by just one set with the match level on points.
In the second round of matches Notts took on Hereford and Worcestershire. Again the match was close but this time Notts edged the match to a win..
Notts then took on reigning champs Hertfordshire who were very strong and our team took a hard fought 4-0 defeat. Hertfordshire would go on to win the event without losing a single match all day.
Notts finished 3rd in their group, edged out of second place by just one set and played Corby in the next round. Notts won the tie comfortably and finished the day in 6th position.
A great attitude all day from our team and with a little bit of luck we could have quite easily finished higher.
