On Saturday 7th January, the 18U boys and girls traveled to Corby to compete in the 12 counties event in division 2A against Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Oxford. The players competing were;

First up was a very strong Cambridge team and despite two very good wins from Amelia and Millie-Mae the team went down 6-2.
It was a similar story against a strong Hertfordshire team with wins from Amelia and Millie-Mae the eventual score was 6-2 Hertfordshire.
Our boys and girls saved their best tennis for last against Oxford with all the girls winning with some strong performances and Daniel, Joel and James getting the wins for the boys giving us a very good 7-1 win. The boys and the girls showed great team spirit in supporting each others matches and was great to finish the day with an impressive performance against Oxford. Special mention must go to Amelia Rajecki and Millie-Mae Matthews for going undefeated on the day and a big thankyou to Stuart Matthews for doing a 500mile round trip in one day so Millie could compete in the event!
