Seven of the world’s top 10 men, six of the world’s top 10 women and seven of the world’s top 10 quad division players head a field of 100 entrants for the 21st British Open Wheelchair Tennis Championships, which takes place at the City of Nottingham Tennis Centre from Tuesday, 20th – Sunday 25th July 2010.
Britain’s top three ranked men’s players, David Phillipson (from Bingham), Gordon Reid and Marc McCarroll head the home entry, with all three currently ranked inside the world’s top 25. The British Open remains an extra special tournament for 21-year-old world No. 13 Phillipson, who hails from Bingham, Nottinghamshire, and this year the local favourite will bid to reach his third Super Series quarter-final of the season after reaching the last eight at both the Florida Open and the Japan Open.
Entry is free to watch these top players.
