Having successfully come through from the local club stages, Donovan and Freya, both the number one seeds in the event, came out victorious at the County Finals on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th July 2010.
With both players ranked higher than their opposition the pressure was on to live up to the expectations. In the final Donovan beat Ben King who put up a great fight but was eventually defeated, and Freya had a repeat match of the Nottingham Tennis Centre Club final where once again she beat fellow competitor Corinne Blythe.
Overall, 13 boys and 6 girls progressed from their club events and competed at the County Finals.
Nottinghamshire will now get behind our two National Finalists and hope they can repeat their good form in the next and final stage of the event.
