Dominic West came through two close matches, against Douglas Macintosh and Cameron Yuill, but lost in the semi final to fellow Midlands player, Alex Parker. Dominic went on to win his 3rd/4th play off comfortably. Dominic used the matches well to work on improvements he is making in his game and was supported all weekend by Phil Newbury (Tennis Midlands).
Ellie Brazil qualified for the event in Goole. Ellie is one of the toughest competitors around and makes life very difficult for her opponents. She beat training mate Millie Devey Smith 4-0 4-0 in her
opening match, before a narrowly defeat in 3 sets to the eventual finalist Jodie Burrage.
On the 2nd day, Ellie lost in a close match to Georgie Walker before toughing out a victory against Holly Thompson to secure 7th place. Ellie was supported by her coach Phil Newbury (Tennis
