Musters men remain on course to retain their division 1 title, following a home win against Mapperley Park. Duncan Burd and Jeremy Freemantle ensured that Musters did not have it all their own way, when they won 5 sets for Mapperley. The title decider could be when Musters play Lady Bay, the only other unbeaten team in the league, although Magdala could also upset the celebrations when they play Musters.
Magdala ‘A’ move to the top of division 2, following a close fought win against Musters ‘A’, when Paul Lockwood and Matt Jaggers were dominant, winning 6 sets for the loss of only 10 games. Musters ‘A’ bounced back in their next match to beat Wollaton and move into third place behind West Bridgford ‘B’. Duncan Spalding and Mike Clayton were Musters top couple with 5 sets.
In division 3, David Lloyd West Bridgford continue to sweep all competition aside, with their fourth consecutive win, when they beat Mansfield in their closest match of the season so far. Kyle Collins and James Taylor were the top couple with 6 sets for the loss of 6 games. Sutton in Ashfield got their first win of the season, after two defeats, against Woodthorpe ‘A’.
Burton Joyce top division 5A, following a comfortable home win against Musters ‘C’, and with only one match remaining against Bingham, they should secure promotion this season.
