12u Boys County Cup Report
On Saturday 30th June/ Sunday 1st July the boys 12u team including Phoenix Weir, Ishy Han, Connor Green and Johnny Lees traveled to Northampton (Kings Park) to compete in the 12u County Cup. The boys were playing Lincoln, Derby, Northampton and Leicester with the winning team progressing to the National finals in Bolton. 3 singles matches and 1 doubles (short format to 4 with a championship tie break 3 set) were to be played against each county.
Results Day 1
Lincoln win 3-1
Derby win 2-2 won on championship tie-break
Results Day 2
Northampton lost 3-1
Leicester Lost 3-1
The boys were able to cope with extremely hot conditions and and showed a great team spirit supporting each other right down to the last point.
A special mention must go to Phoenix Weir who was able to win all of his singles matches playing at No 1.
