West Bridgford ladies retained their division 1 title with a convincing away win at Woodthorpe. Laura Cooper and Alison Keates were in dominant form winning 6 sets for the loss of only 2 games, which was almost matched by the second pair Joanne Fox and Elaine Masters. Magdala took second place following a comfortable home win against Musters, where Jenny French and Danielle King were the top couple with 5.5 sets.
Mansfield are already promoted from division 2 as champions, but the surprise came when David Lloyd West Bridgford lost to the already relegated Grantham team, to leave Lady Bay in the second promotion place.
Magdala ‘A’ are promoted as champions from division 3, with Farnsfield in second place, following their away win against The Park, which pushed Caunton into third place, even though they beat Mansfield ‘A’ who are now relegated.
Magdala ‘B’ are promoted as champions from division 5A, with Ravenshead in second place. Caunton ‘B’ and Lady Bay ‘B’ will be relegated.
In division 5B, Eastwood beat Attenborough ‘A’ by the narrowest of margins to take the second promotion place behind Attenborough ‘A’. Farnsfield ‘B’ and Woodthorpe ‘C’ will be relegated.
Caunton ‘C’ beat Mansfield ‘B’ to take the division 6 title, by just edging past second placed Attenborough ‘B’. Josie Headland and Kay Baker were the top couple with 6 sets, with Mansfield’s second pair of Alex and Marta Wegner providing most resistance with 3 sets.
