Three junior tennis players from Nottingham took part in the LTA's national Talent ID at the Bolton Arena.
They were among 80 youngsters from across the country invited to the session.
The trio were Loughborough HS pupil Livvy Tomkins, who trains at Nottingham Tennis Centre, and Dominic West, 13, and Alice Hill, 12, who train at Loughborough.
The players showed off their skills in front of the LTA Talent ID team, who were aiming to spot future performance players.
"I've been a few times now and it's good to play against some of the best players in the country," said West.
Hill said: "I've been six times before so I know what to expect now. They make us work hard, but it's still fun."
The day was overseen by LTA head of talent management, Andrew Lewandowski, who was impressed by what he saw.
"They have performed really well and shown lots of ability across a number of different tasks testing qualities and a real natural talent and love for the sport," he said.
"It was fantastic to see so many talented players give it their all."
