Men’s Summer League
Mapperley Park men completed their fixtures with a comprehensive home win against an under strength Farnsfield team, and move into second place in division 1, behind Lady Bay. Duncan Burd and Jeremy Freemantle were the top couple, winning 6 sets for the loss of only 4 games. The final match to decide the title and relegation is between Musters and Magdala. If Musters win they become champions and if Magdala win, they avoid relegation.
West Bridgford remain unbeaten following their comfortable home win against Magdala ‘A’, and win the division 2 title. The father and son pairing of Peter and Matt Whitehead were the top couple with 6 sets. West Bridgford ‘A’ won a close fought home match against Attenborough and move into third place. Jeremy Fowler and Abs Chand were the top couple with 5 sets.
Musters ‘A’ maintained their unbeaten run to go top of division 4A, following a comfortable home win against Woodthorpe ‘B’, who will be relegated. Andy Vernon and Chris Reed were the top couple with 6 sets. Caunton ‘A’ completed their fixtures with a home win against third placed Sutton in Ashfield, to retain second place.
