West Bridgford ladies moved clear at the top of division 1, and look odds on to retain their title following a crushing away win at Sutton in Ashfield. Hannah Murray and Lisa Knowles won 6 sets for the loss of only 7 games, and were backed up by the sister pairing of Cathy Burnside and Jane Davies who also won 6 sets. Ilkeston completed their fixtures with a win against Woodthorpe, and move into second place.
A young Lady Bay team completed their fixtures with a comfortable home win against Attenborough to move into second place in division 2, behind the already promoted Mansfield team. The star Lady Bay pairing were Ellie Horton and Sarah-Kate O’Grady who won 6 sets for the loss of only 4 games. A win or draw will be enough for David Lloyd West Bridgford in their last match against Grantham to overhaul Lady Bay for the second promotion place.
Musters ‘A’ moved into third place behind Magdala ‘A’ and Farnsfield respectively, following an away win against Mansfield ‘A’, where Mary Joyner and Linda Mee won 5 sets.
In division 4A, the battle for the only promotion place was between West and East Bridgford, with West Bridgford ‘B’ coming out on top. Jane Evans and Viola Ziessow were the top couple with 5 sets, with the only resistance coming from Rosie Watkins and Judy Fishel with 4 sets.
Caunton ‘A’ moved into second place in division 4B, behind the unbeaten David Lloyd Nottingham, following a close fought win against Woodthorpe ‘B’, which means they will be relegated.
