Team: Daniel Blackburn, Harry Harold-Vaux, William Caunt, Louis Kybird, Etianna Whitaker, Molly Ward, Amy Smith.
This fixture was a rearranged date, due to the snow. Unfortunately Alice Hill and Gabriele Lukaite were unable to play, it was Easter Saturday and only Amy Smith was available to play, so for the first time went had a girls team of only three.
The first round was against Hereford and Worcs, Daniel had a tough match going down 0-4, 1-4, Harry lost the first set 1-4, but came back very well to win the second 4-0 and then kept the momentum to win the tie-break 10-7. William also played well winning 4-2, 5-3, but Louis had a tough time loosing 0-4, 0-4.
Etianna played well winning in three sets, both Molly and Amy had tough first matches both losing in two sets, the fourth match was a w/o.
The second round against Cambridge was tough for both teams, with all four boys going down in two sets. Etianna had a w/o as her opponent was injured, Molly and Amy both had better matches, but unfortunately both lost.
The last round against Suffolk, Harry and William both went to three sets, both winning the match tie-breaks, Daniel and Louis were against strong consistent players, losing in two sets. The girls all played well, but again all went down in two sets to strong players.
There was great team spirit throughout the day, with parents as usual there to support all the team.
