Men’s Winter League
Lady Bay completed their fixtures in the men’s first division, with a comfortable away win at Woodthorpe, which still might not be enough to avoid relegation. Playing as third pair, Jack Ellis and Donovan Cellupica -Towers were the top couple with 28 games. This result leaves Woodthorpe rooted at the foot of the table, without a win in four games.
David Lloyd West Bridgford continued their march back to division 1, with an away win at Wollaton, leaving them unbeaten at the top of division 2, after four games. Rob Gough and Jim Taylor were the top couple with 28 games. Wollaton are relegated. West Bridgford ‘A’ beat Farnsfield in a mid table battle, leaving them fourth and fifth respectively. Andy Higham and veteran Gerry Radford were the top couple with 27 games. The most resistance came from Jack Roffe and Stuart Walker.
The division 4B leaders, Burton Joyce lost away to Mapperley Park ‘A’, which moves them up to second place. Duncan Burd and Steve Harwood were the top couple with 22 games. Friesland moved up to fourth place with a good away win against Attenborough ‘A’. John Briggs and David Hands were the top couple with 30 games.
Farnsfield ‘B’ maintained their unbeaten run, and remain at the top of division 6A, following a convincing away win against the bottom team Upper Saxondale, which was followed by a much closer home win against third placed Mansfield ‘B’.
