Millie-Mae Matthews with Tania Fox of Sussex reached the County Road to Wimbledon 14U doubles finals on Saturday. Both Girls are 11 and played the No1 seeds who are aged 13, Alice Klugman and Natasha Forrest who also competed in the final of the singles.
It was a top class game with our girls losing the first set 6-4 but coming back to win the 2nd 6-2. So all down to a third tie break set to 10! Once again our girls raced into the lead and had match point at 9-8 to lose on a final 117 shot rally 10-8. Millie had a great week also winning all 3 games in her box in straight sets against 13 year old girls. She then reached the round of 16 before losing to a girl 3 years older 5-7 4-6 but again took her to the wire in both sets.
