Men's Summer League
Magdala moved off the bottom of the men's first division following a comfortable away win at Ravenshead. Mike Bottomley and Peter Kirton were the top couple with 5 sets. Chris Mills and Matt Jaggers won 4 sets, which was matched by Tony Mellors and Alexi Stretton. Ravenshead must win their last match against West Bridgford to have any chance of avoiding a quick return to division 2.
Wollaton completed their fixtures in division 3 with a whitewash against the bottom team Farnsfield 'A'. Miles Charlton and Steve Attewell were the top couple taking the maximum sets for the loss of only 4 games. Caunton moved up to third place behind Wollaton following a close fought win against Musters 'A', where Jonny Burke and Jonathan Saxelby were the top couple with 6 sets.
East Bridgford completed their fixtures in division 4A, with a comfortable home win against second placed West Bridgford 'B', to win the league and promotion. Leigh Day and Jon Mitchell were the top couple with 6 sets. Eastwood beat an incomplete Woodthorpe 'B' team to move up to third place. Vaugh Hallam and Greg Draper were the top couple with 6 sets.
Attenborough continued their unbeaten run at the top of division 4B, following a comprehensive away win against Mapperley Park 'A', where Chris Lacey and Richard Shaw were the top couple with 6 sets for the loss of only 6 games.
