Fed Cup by BNP Paribas
The AEGON GB Fed Cup Team have finished second in their group after their Fed Cup by BNP Paribas matches in Israel this week. Drawn in Group A, the team faced top seeds Switzerland and a Denmark team led by world No.1 Caroline Wozniacki.
In their first match on Wednesday the AEGON GB Fed Cup Team, which consists of Elena Baltacha, Anne Keothavong, Heather Watson and Jocelyn Rae, lost out 2-1 to Switzerland but defeated Denmark today, winning 2-1 and finished second in their group.
This result means the team will remain in Euro/Africa Zone Group I for next year’s competition.
