Men’s Winter League

 

Musters maintained their unbeaten run in the men’s first division, with a close fought win against Magdala, to go top of the league. Chris Dexter and Jamie Woodford won 20 games which was matched by Rob Cree and Dave Percival. Farnsfield completed their fixtures with a vital home win against Magdala, which may be enough to retain their top flight status, mainly due to a fine performance from Matt Benford and Ashley Norwood with 27 games. The most resistance came from Mike Bottomley and Peter Kirton with 22 games.

Grantham beat David Lloyd Nottingham the division 2 leaders, to open up the division. Richard Cragg and Joe Heanen won 21 games which was matched by Paul White and Andrew Isaac. West Bridgford ‘A’ had a comfortable home win against second placed Lady Bay, to move into third place.

Burton Joyce beat Farnsfield ‘A’, in a close fought match, to go to the top of division 3, just ahead of second placed Woodthorpe ‘A’ in second place. Nottingham Castle ‘A’  move into third place, following a home win against Mapperley Park ‘A’. Richard Smart and Neil Jones were the top couple with 29 games.

Sutton in Ashfield made it four out of four wins, with a comfortable home win in division 4A against Magdala ‘B’, where Tom Roberts and Chris Woods won 25 games, with the second pair of Nigel Davenport and Callum Cross winning 22 games. Keyworth ‘A’ move into second place following a home win against Magdala ‘B’, who are still looking for their first points. The division 4B leaders, East Bridgford crashed to a heavy defeat against third placed Musters ‘A’. with a dominant performance from Mike Clayton and Rob Palmer with 29 games. Keyworth move into second place following a comfortable win against West Bridgford ‘C’
