All the team were there for a warmup and to play some points before start of play.
The first round was against Cambridgeshire, Eva and Jessica both had easy wins, Millie had a tough match losing in the match tie-break. Charlotte played well but lost in straight sets.

Haydn played well but lost to a solid player, Daniel constructed some good rallies, as did Phoenix to give them straight set wins. Thomas had a tough match losing to a stronger player.

The second round was against Hertfordshire, Eva had a tough match, she worked hard executing solid winning shots. Jessica had another good match, she has improved so much during the last six months. Millie had a two set win, playing more confident tennis, unfortunately Charlotte had another loss.

The Herts team were strong, the Notts boys put up a good fight, Haydn lost but played some great tennis, particularly in the second set which he lost 3-5. Daniel had another good match with the second set going to a tie-break. Phoenix fought hard through this match, his single handed backhand is very effective. Thomas played well but lost to the more experienced player.

The final round was against Oxfordshire. Eva and Jessica played solidly to win in straight sets. Millie played well, particularly in the second set, Charlotte played her best match staying in the rallies well.

The boys final round was great. Haydn won in a match tie-break, a deserving win, he never gives up. Daniel and Phoenix were both in command winning easily. Thomas played the match of the day, he was last on court keeping everyone in suspense in the match tie-break, he was ahead, levelled at 9-9 lost 10-12 playing some great tennis.

Overall the Notts Girls came top of their group and the boys came second, so a great result!

Note:- This is the final round of the 12 Counties Championships following matches involving the 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U age groups. Overall Nottinghamshire came third in their group and gained valuable experience of team play.
