The Team consisted of Joshua Barnes, Harry Tait, Rishi Kalia, William Caunt and Harry Harrold-Vaux.
It was a wet and windy weekend for the U10 boys at Nottingham Tennis Centre. We held team training on previous weekends in very similar conditions making it difficult to produce high quality tennis. However, the boys gave their best when competing during the whole weekend.
Our first match was against a strong Warwickshire side who beat us 3-1. We then played against Northants and we won this match 3-1.
Second day - Sunday - and it was another windy day. The first match was against a strong Leicestershire side in which we lost all three singles, subsequently losing the match. The final match of the weekend was against Lincolnshire. This was a very close encounter with Harry Harrold-Vaux and Josh winning their singles. This made the doubles a key rubber for the match and the boys (Harry Tait & Rishi Kalia) played some of their best tennis together to win the match.
