Team: Puneet Sunner, Rhys Biro Moore, Daniel Connelly, Gabriel Johnson
Millie Mae Matthews, Emily Hannaford, Lucy Whitchurch

This was the first meeting of the 12 Counties for this season. We were to play Leics, Hereford and Worcs, and Norfolk.  Unfortunately we only had three girls in our team, but not as bad as Norfolk who only had one; they made up their numbers with lesser rated boys, whose results would not count.

Our first round was against Leics, Puneet had an easy win 4-0, 4-2, Rhys had a tougher match, he played well to win 5-3, 4-2, Daniel played well but could not sustain the consistency of his opponent loosing 2-4, 2-4, Gabriel looked very strong winning 4-1, 4-1, giving the boys a 3-1 win.

Millie Mae had an easy 4-0, 4-0 win, Emily played well in the first set, but the second slipped away 3-5, 0-4, Lucy played steady tennis winning 4-2, 4-0, giving the girls a 2-1 win, overall 5-2 win a good start.

The second round was against Hereford and Worcs, Puneet again played very solid tennis winning 4-1, 4-2, Rhys played well but against a physically stronger boy went down.   Daniel played well although he lost the first set 3-5, he went on to win the second 4-0, but went down in the match tie-break 6-10.  Gabriel had another good 4-0, 4-0 win, giving an overall 2-2 result.

Millie Mae played well again winning 4-2, 4-1, Emily fought hard to win in three sets 10-8 in the match tie-break, Lucy unfortunately was out played by a stronger girl. As we had to conceed the fourth  match the overall score was 2-2

The last round was against Norfolk, Puneet had his toughest match, but won 5-4 (10-8), 4-1, Rhys played well, he did lose with a score that did not reflect the standard of tennis. Daniel also had tough match again he played well, but lost. Gabriel had another good win, giving the boys a 2-2 result.

The girls went on to play the boys, but the results did not count as it is a girls event, so giving Notts  a 3-0 win

Overall Notts came out in first position- a  great start for the rest of the age groups which follow.

All the matches were played with good team spirit, my thanks go to the parents for their support.
