MATCH 1
Nott’s v Leics.
This match on paper is looking like we are playing the number 1 seeds, in this great 1 day competition, let’s see how we get on.
We made an impressive start, with Connor winning a close match in 3 sets 5/7, 7/5 (7/4), and Ishy Han winning 7/3, 7/2. Marcus went on for his match and won the first set 7/5, but just got a little bit tight and lost the last 2 close sets 4/7, /3/7.
Lillia and Naomi were on next and showed clear signs of nerves and never really got into the matches but still with smiles, Lillia lost 2/7, 2/7 and Naomi lost 0/7, 4/7. Mia went on against Tabatha Holmes, who was tall and strong and by far, the best player in the whole competition. Mia was very unlucky to have lost a massive first set 8/10 but couldn’t keep up with her in the next set, but still played very well, losing 3/7.
On with the doubles.
We went with Ishy and Marcus in the boys doubles who lost 4/7 in the 3rd set.
Girl’s doubles were Naomi and Lillia, losing a good match 5/7, 2/7
Mixed doubles Connor and Mia couldn’t get in to the match and lost 2/7, 3/7

MATCH 2
Nott’s v Northants
Shaken up by our first match losses, and playing a team who had won their first match.
We had a really bad start losing our first 4 singles matches, and 3 of the matches in 3 sets, so close but yet so far. I really believe this was due to the first match loss.
Connor losing 2/7 in the 3rd. Ishy losing 5/7, 2/7 against a great mover on court.
Marcus won the first set again but then lost the last 2 sets losing 3/7 in the 3rd. Lilla lost a very close match 5/7 in the 3rd set.
The great news in Naomi’s match is she started to relax in to the whole environment and won a great match 7/5, 7/5.
Mia also showed her class, winning 7/0, 7/3 what a win!!! We are back in this match now, COME ON NOTTS.
On to the doubles
Connor and Mia won 8/6, 7/2
Naomi and Lillia are in the groove now easily winning 7/2, 7/3
That made this match 4 all, COME ON NOTTS!!!!!
Now down to the boys, Ishy and Marcus. They played well and put up a fight but missed too many volleys in good positions and lost out 4/7, 4/7.
