Ladies Summer League
Ilkeston ladies had a good home win against title contenders David Lloyd Nottingham, where Sarah Wright and Elaine Holland were in dominant form, winning 6 sets, for the loss of only 1 game. Ilkeston followed this up with an away win at Magdala, where Sarah Wright, this time partnering Julie Griffiths won 6 sets for the loss of 3 games, to move into second place, behind the champions West Bridgford. Magdala and Musters will be relegated.
Woodthorpe completed their fixtures with a hard fought away win at David Lloyd West Bridgford, to maintain their unbeaten run and take the division 2 title. Wendy Haines and Sue Pannell were Woodthorpe's top couple, with Kayo Utsumi and Sally Conlon of David Lloyd winning 5 sets. Caunton and Magdala 'A' will be relegated.
Burton Joyce completed their fixtures with an away win at Retford to take the division 3 title. Gill Lane and Lorraine Cockrell were the top couple winning 6 sets for the loss of only 8 games. Musters 'A' had a good home win against second placed Newark, and move away from relegation. Lisa Harrold and Amy Harrold-Vaux were the top couple, winning 6 sets. Woodthorpe 'A' and Ravenshead are relegated.
Grantham maintained their uneaten run at the top of division 4A, following an away win at fourth placed Farnsfield. Wendy Stewart and Liz Frobisher were the top couple with 5 sets, backed up by Jackie Wilson and Ella Tapson. East Bridgford had a good away win against Mansfield 'A' to move up to second place. Sue Day and 12 year old Anna Buckley were the top couple winning 6 sets for the loss of only 8 games.
Caunton 'A' had a comprehensive away win against East Bridgford 'B', to move up to second place, behind champions Nottingham Castle. Debbie Fenton and Anna Thompson won 6 sets which was matched by Rosanna Marks and Jacqui Shorthouse
