On Sunday 16th June 2013 the winners and runners up from the club events came together to compete in the Nottinghamshire County Finals at Nottingham Tennis Centre.
Competing in the boys semi-finals saw James Wood (Nottm TC) beat Moziah Selassie (West Bridgford TC) and Dominc West (Nottm TC) defeat Luke Ince (West Bridgford TC). The final saw the two Nottingham Tennis Centre players come head to head once again with Dominic West, the number 1 seed putting in a convincing victory beating James Wood 6-0, 6-0.
In the girls event Millie Devey-Smith defeated Etianna Whitaker with another strong display from the number 1 seeded player.
A great effort was put in from all of the county finalists who all showed great spirit and competitive skills even when challenged with an opponent with a much higher rating.
We wish all the best to Millie and Dominic who now progress on the National Finals at the All England Club, Wimbledon.
