The team of Ann Brown, Sarah Usher, Kathryn Hayes and Lisa Knowles (captain) travelled to Oxtalls Tennis Centre to play the first of their county matches against Gloucestershire.
The singles results were as follows:
Ann Brown beat Lucy Howitt 6-4, 7-6
Lisa Knowles lost to Marie Bell 6-0, 6-0
In the doubles,
Sarah Usher and Kathryn Hales beat Ruth Brown and Liz Cowan 6-3, 6-4
Lisa Knowles and Ann Brown beat Ruth Brown and Liz Cowan 7-5, 6-2
Sarah Usher and Kathryn Hales lost to Lucy Howitt and Marie Bell 6-3, 6-4
So overall Notts won by 3-2 - a good start to the season!
