After 3 really tough years competing on the grass, I am delighted to report that the Nottinghamshire Men’s team we able to gain promotion in emphatic fashion!
The team we were able to field is one of our strongest in a long time, which gave us all confidence going into the week that we would be going into the event as strong favourites to win it.
Day 1 vs Shropshire 9-0
Day 2 vs Staffordshire 7-2
Day 3 vs Cornwall 8-1
Day 4 vs Wiltshire 9-0
Day 5 vs Gloucestershire 9-0
Across the week, everyone was able to play their part in what was an incredibly satisfying week. As always, there was a fantastic atmosphere within the team both on the court and during the evenings, when things got a little competitive with various games being played, all in good nature of course!
I would like to thank everyone who was involved in the team throughout the week for your commitment throughout. You all made my job very easy during the matches, and it was great fun leading you guys. Also, I would like to thank Notts LTA for their support in helping us be successful.
I speak for the whole team in saying we look forward to being successful again in Shrewsbury this winter!
