Gill Lane gave an impassioned plea for help for the charity Balls To Poverty which students from the South Notts College support by going to deprived regions of Africa to encourage sport by supplying balls for football and now tennis. Many tubes of balls were donated on the night by prize winners and clubs attending.
Andy McFeeters, Tennis Development Manager, and Dave Everington, Junior Competitons Organiser, provided an entertaining quiz and review of the year in which many of those involved in tennis in the county were filmed posing the questions.

The evening continued with the presentation of the Summer League and Short Format Cups and certificates to the division winners of the Nottingham Tennis Centre Indoor League.
Mike Lucas of Wollaton Tennis Club won the free raffle for a HEAD tennis raquet, and Magdala Tennis Club won the box of HEAD balls as a reward for submitting the most newsworthy reports on their League match cards. Nick de Villiers won the bottle of champagne from all those that sent in awards nominations.
