The Kevin Hoey Memorial Mini Orange Festival of Tennis was a terrific success again this year, with 28 players taking part in 84 matches throughout the day.
Notts started against a very strong Essex team and unfortunately lost the tie despite some very encouraging performances. The Notts team then managed to gain wins against Hertfordshire ‘B’ Northants and Hereford and Worcestershire. Some outstanding performances from the Notts team throughout the day resulted in all the players winning at least one match and the guys finishing the day in 4th position.
The winning team was the Hertfordshire ‘A’ team, who lost only 6 of their 24 matches. The Herts A no4, Zac Drake went undefeated in all 6 matches, as did the Cambs No1 Yujiro Onuma .
